First Glance

Remember the time when we first kissed
I was nothing but nervous, I almost missed
We took what we had and ran away
Knowing that in truth it could never stay
Like all things that are great, they come to an end
And if better then great, it would surly depend
On how long you can go without I by your side
If you can stand proudly, not run nor hide.
The feelings I have are o so true
I mean every word, when I say I love you.
I am not a child I know right from wrong.
I know when I'm weak, I know you make me strong.
Whenever I'm nervous, unhappy, or sad
I think of a kiss, the first one we had.
All these feelings threw me into a trance
A trance so powerful only you could give it
At first glance.
