Life's Last Dance

by Ashes of a Black Rose aka Night Child   Sep 21, 2006

One night...

He danced for me
And only for me
He moved to the pulse of my heart

He held my waist
And guided my hips
He fulfilled the needs of my flesh

He grabbed my hands
And taught me to soar
He sang to me the song of my life

He twirled my body
And faced my smile
He viewed my soul behind shy eyes

He took his hands
And cradled my head
He kissed me with both passion and lust

The next morning...

He lay in his bed
And reached out to me
He knew he would dance no more

He looked in my eyes
And with his last breath
He uttered just three simple words

He said, "I love you"
And died knowing this:
He'd saved the last dance for me
