Road to nowhere

This is my road to nowhere,
the way my life now seems,
Had lots of little wishes,
and hopeless silly dreams,

Thought that I could make it,
in this cruel dark world,
My head is filled with sadness,
all spinning in a whirl,

I hoped one day I'd be someone,
be noticed for the good I've done,
The determined young woman,
that I had once become,

But:

When I stop to think about it,
and all the love I can give,
I realise I'm someone special,
and this is the reason I live.

This is my road to everywhere,
determination is all that I need,
With friends who make my day,
I guess in life I can succeed....
