You look so pretty.

by Beauty is overrated.   Sep 22, 2006

You look so pretty
In your red, velvet dress.
The blood stains look so bright.
How did you even sleep last night?
I don't want to upset you.
Please stop your crying.
Your eyes are swollen,
And weak.
You're ashamed,
Ashamed of your life.
Did you notice?
Hell looks so alive tonight.
I can feel the steam
Arising from your face.
Love and lust have changed.
I messaged your heart
That mourning night.
I have it saved below the blood
That surrounds my veins.
You're a thorn,
And I'm a dying rose.
My heart has been sent to hell,
And for that I only blame myself.
This day is final,
Darkness has arrived.
Could the Devil atleast reconcile?

This is a great poem. I'm not sure if I completely get the last few lines, but it's really cool.

    'Did you notice?
    Hell looks so alive tonight.'
I love it! That's the best line.
