Across The Miles, Many Smiles

DAMN the bloody ocean!!!
And the miles that separate,
I'm almost happy here at home
But missing someone In Ramsgate...
Fate is sneering wickedly
He toys with my hurting heart,
"Here he is! The guy you've always dreamed of...
Sorry you're so far apart!!"
Two souls seemingly so very different
And yet remarkably the same,
Both with the same needs and wants
Out of this, life's cruel game.
Ramsgate always makes me laugh
With the things he says, the silly Brit,
I very nearly choked on my fag
When he had to sort out the Git!!
As I think about it, really
What is more important than to smile?
To lay down one's troubles
And wistfully dream, just for a while.
I will have a drink or two
He'll have a cuppa tea,
Then we'll sit and chat for hours
All the while cursing that bloody sea.
But although it's difficult to talk sometimes
Without breaking down into tears,
I'm so very grateful to have met him
And hope he'll be a friend throughout my years.
Ramsgate is extremely special
Different from any man I've known,
Cares about the way I feel,
Puts up with me when I moan!
There really is no easy answer
*Maybe there's no why, but just what is
But I'll never regret the day I logged on
And saw the name that was his.
Thank you God, for giving me
This time we have to spend,
And to you there in Ramsgate,
Eternal friendship and love I send.

This was really quick,but I hope you like it.. He is one of the most wonderful, caring, considerate, thoughtful, funny,(could go on...?)human beings I have ever had the opportunity to get to know..unfo. veryyyy far away from me..heartbreaking, yet I would never want to have missed out on the friendship,I'm thankful for him and I hope he knows that. :)Love Michelle
