The Search

by Kalgalath   Sep 28, 2006

I'm searching for someone who can cure my emptiness
The Search for the someone that completes me
I search for them all day long, but to no avail
But I hope that they are out there somewhere

Everyday my hope is renewed
Because I got to start my search anew
At the end of the day my hope wears thin
Unless my search comes to an end
The end that I am hoping for The Search to end
If not the night stands still
And darkness consumes me

At that point, I no longer have to worry about The Search
Or the troubles of man
I am in a good place
A place with no worries, and everybody is content
But then the stillness,
The stillness of the night draws away from the light

The light then consumes everything that is dark
Even the night, that night that stills my search, and ceases my pain
The pain is renewed yet again as I search
I search and I search, but the pain grows more
So much more that i fear it will consume me
And take me somewhere I don't belong
To a place where pain and suffering are inevitable to avoid

The Search causes pain and suffering
But I know that if I let the hope,
The hope that keeps me going,
If I let it burn within me
That my search will come to an end
And the pain and suffering will be no more
