The Game

by Macabre   Sep 28, 2006

Why won't you play this game with me,
I'll ask just once I swear.
Why do you react oh so angrily?
The board is empty, plain and bare.

One for two players, you and me.
Are you even listening to what I'm saying?
it's just a game, can't you see?
I just love this game we're playing.

I know you'll say no for a while, you'll probably even win,
but eventually I'll steal you're style,
and we start all over again.

Back and forth, round and round,
don't you love this little game?
Hush now, don't make a sound,
you're starting to sound the same.

I don't want to hear it,
your stupid little complaint.
why can't you just wear it,
and stop making me feel faint?

you exhaust me and wear me out,
Sometimes you seem to enjoy it.
So I'll stop playing with you now,
There's no longer any fun in it.

You've won this time, or have I?
We'll see however, believe me.
But for now it's time to say goodbye,
Because It's my game we're playing, can't you see?
