One day...

by katie!   Sep 28, 2006

One day, They had a revelation
Though to you it may seem trivial
Love and lust, it seemed to them
Had become rather visual

Whilst perching on a straining branch
And drinking cups of coffee
She came upon a strange idea
As they chewed upon their toffee

" I understand you have it sir,
That gaining weight is bad"
Although she hadn't thought it
To him it seemed she had

Perhaps a mug of chocolate sir
The butler johnson said
It seems to me the calories
Are going to your head

"I wander lonely as a cloud,"
He yelled from opened windows
"Good lord," They cried "It's wordsworth!"
No wait it's just old Mr Minnows

"Just take a cup of tea dear"
Said Davis to his spouse
"Two sugars and a biscuit"
As they rested in their house

And over here in London
Over the trellised fence
"Oh bugger" muttered katie
"This poem makes no sense!"

Sense or not, if anything it was funny, and in a lot of ways it measures up to the title. You gave snapshots of different people, in different circumstances, one day of many lifes. It was an interesting poem. Did you intend to write it this way, or was it a product of you just writing freely? Maybe you might concider putting this poem in the funny catogory, mainly because of the ending part, but putting it in this catogory works too. Keep writing your poems.
