To Young.

She's thirteen going on fourteen.
A single longing secret lingers.
Hidden behind pale dried lips.
Sorry blue, saddened eyes it stays within.

Her daily routine, once so simple.
Now so complicated and messed up.
It's hectic, she's hiding this thing.
She wants to tell someone, who will understand.

She can't eat, nor sleep.
Her eyes are red from tears she cries.
Her Mother, would never understand.
Her Father, he's dead no loss there.

Her friends would tease her.
Call her names she knows she deserves.
Her boyfriend, would leave her.
Breaking her heart; adding to the hurt.

Four months have passed.
This thing is so hard to hide.
It's becoming her life.
It's taking over her body.

She knows she needs help.
She needs to be grown up about this.
She finally breaks, the tears they fall.
"Mother I'm pregnant, five months left."

A slap so breathe taking is lied across her cheek.
The red mark it leaves, with surely become a bruise.
Her Mother's disappointment, turns to hatred rather fast.
"Abort it we must. No child of mine it to give birth at this age."

"Mother I can't do that!"
She screams out, pulling her knees to her chest.
Blood dropping from the bite mark on her lip.
Steady tears flow, dropping to the floor.

Shaking her head, her Mother walks.
Out the front door, leaving it behind her.
Forgetting it by all means she does.
Leaving her daughter to be cared by someone else.

Eighteen she is now, graduation day is come and gone.
Her pride and joy dangles on her arm.
A smile brighter then the day the miracle happened.
Everything played out, for better not worse.
