A Love Torn Apart

by Tawny   Sep 29, 2006

Two people who were though to be together,
And hold each other through life forever.
Are slowly falling apart.
Their fingers gradually untwine,
Leaving all the good times behind.
They wonder what to do next.
They hold each other as tears fall from their eyes,
Trying to figure out how to say their good-byes.
"I don't ever want to let you go.
You're the one who brings me up when I am low.
You're my sun on a cloudy day.
I love you. That's all I have to say."
She looks at him feeling the same pain,
Then finally said back, "There's a lot from this we can gain.
You are my one and only true love,
And everyday I thank God from sending you from above."
They both know they are not how they used to be,
And wonder why it took them this long to see.
Their hands come completely apart,
But they will always have the other in the bottom of their heart.
