A Soldier's Story

by Tawny   Sep 29, 2006

So many people lost their lives,
For people they didn't even know.
Some soldiers left their kids and wives,
So other people wouldn't have to go.
You might want to take this to heart,
'Cause your not in their place.
They are finishing something they didn't start,
Have you looked at their families' face?
When all this first happened, it gave us a fright,
We didn't know what to do.
We opened our eyes and turned to the light,
Some of us looked up and said, "We're alive. Thank you."
Some of us are still the way we used to be,
Some of us finally found the Lord.
Some of us are trying to get people to see,
And some of us only worry how we're gonna get that new Ford.
Some of us have changed in a dramatic way,
Some of us now look on the good side.
While the rest of us are now watching what we say,
We need to stop and remember the one's who are here to guide.
