Eyes of Rapture

by Pure Peace   Sep 29, 2006

That once I loved I now despise,
A girl with rapture in her eyes,
Then all at once, the rapture dimmed,
And left my body rigid limbed,
Her sneering laugh and blackened heart,
She had no morals to impart,
She stood there, smiling, up at me,
Her wicked eyes abrim with glee,
Their chilling, piercing, purple gaze,
Up swept my own in waves of haze,
I couldn't breathe, I couldn't think,
I prayed to God that she might blink,
Release me from her deadly stare,
the cloying scent of her bright hair,
the sharp, cold cider of her lips,
the swaying motion of her hips,
Relieve my mind of all her lies,
The girl with rapture in her eyes.
