Pain

Have you ever felt that pain?
the one that burns down deep?
the one that comes again and again?
the one that won't let you sleep?

i have felt it.
over and over again.
it fills my soul with darkness,
and it crosses my face.

you see the shadows under my eyes.
you ask me if i'm alright.
i nod and try to smile,
but it only lasts for a while.

to bad i can't get rid of the pain.
to bleed it away,
to be numb.

i don't want to feel anymore,
this pain that is so immense.
i want it all to go away
to the other side of the fence.

i know how to rid myself of the pain,
if only you'll let me do it.
but you don't understand me.
you've never felt this pain.

    This is a really good poem, i really understand what your going through. I loved this part "you see the shadows under my eyes."you ask me if i'm alright.i nod and try to smile,but it only lasts for a while." i can really relate to that, i know it feels.
