Live and Learn

by Amy Jo   Oct 1, 2006

One way street with a broken sidewalk
A large fishing lake without a dock
Secretary who's always been illiterate
A long list of instructions, but no kit

We live, we learn, we cry
And so many times we'll try
to find the cure
to why our hearts feel.

My shoes untied, and I can't learn
For some reason my hungry heart doesn't yearn
I must have found a way to drown you out
Couldn't really tell you what life's about

We live, we learn, we cry
And so many times we'll try
to find the cure
to why our hearts feel.

There's a nurse; with no degree;
A well dug hole, but no planted tree
I have a heart, but no more love
Your hands is cold, even with a glove

We live, we learn, we cry
And so many times we'll try
to find the cure
to why our hearts feel.

I've lived and learned
Lord knows, I've cried
but the only cure to feeling
is just ... giving in

    I love it
the way you use the positives to inforce a negative
the beggining was awesome by the way
