What Have You Done

by ~*Lips_Of_An_Angel*~   Oct 1, 2006

Her hair is up,
And her legs are bare,
She's intoxicated far from sober,
Going from one room to another,
From one guy to the next,
No dignity spared,
Tomorrow she'll wake up with a hangover,
Just remember you made her this way,
You lead her on,
And told her it was a game,
That she wasn't good enough,
Nobody will want her,
Now that she's done this,
She's falling harder,
And she's falling apart,
At night she wishes,
That she'd hear the sirens,
And wake up in the emergency room,
Just to hear the doctors say,
She's not going to make it,
Sometimes she'll grab a knife,
And cut at her arms,
Just to see the blood run,
She thinks she's better off dead,
She hates to wake in the morning,
Cause she will have to look in the mirror,
And realize she's the same,
So the next time you play this game,
Remember what can happen,
You may just send the girl,
Into a downward spiral,
And someone just might not save her.

This poem feels very real to me. Although it doesn't flow as well as some other poems, I feel that it is better that way. Good job.
