Life

by Chris W.   Oct 1, 2006

Life is everlasting,
a plague with no cure.
Time is just a myth,
death comes to the unsure.

You say you are not ready,
I say you are a fool.
The reaper is knocking,
open up to deaths pool.

Pain racks your body,
you're going to hell.
You say you don't deserve it,
you must not know to well.

You're long fall ends,
Lucifer stands before you.
You tremble like a baby,
You realize that it's true.

An eternity awaits,
with no end in sight.
You wish you could go back,
you know the preacher was right.
