Imperfections...

by Cheslah   Oct 3, 2006

Everybody has them,
Something just not right.
These little imperfections,
Are not plain in sight.

But these are all you see,
My little imperfections.
They make you blind,
To my good intentions.

Yes I tend to forget,
And yes I can be moody.
Yes I can be immature,
And maybe a little looney.

But I've changed,
I've changed a lot.
All I've done was for you,
But nothing is what I've got.

Believe it or not,
You have imperfections too.
You don't do everything right,
Like you think you do.

Once, way back in May,
You promised me another shot.
"But I'm not gonna wait" you said,
"cause others want what I've got."

So you broke ties with me,
And went back to him.
You acted like nothing happened,
And in my sorrow I'd swim.

It's funny ya know?
You're a hyporcrite.
You yelled at me for dating a boy,
You threw such a fit.

But you did the exact same thing,
You chose him over me.
And now, in turn, I'm mad at you,
But you won't let me be.

We all have imperfections,
Even you do too.
But God I love the imperfections,
That come dripping out of you.
