Would you cry for me?

Not a day goes by
When you don't cross my mind
You told me you loved me...
I was an unbelievable find

I told you I wasn't ready
I couldn't yet be in it to stay
I know you're willing to wait for me,
But how much does that truly say?

It tells me that you're faithful
That mine you'd always be
But as far as true feelings go...
This we must wait and see

I know I have your heart
Sitting inside of me
But what I'm asking, Good Friend,is:
Would you cry for me?

If this, you and me,
By some chance failed to thrive
Would you move on so quickly
Or would a tear well in your eyes?

Would you cry for me?

If I had to leave you
Before we had a chance
Would I be as if never
Or would a salty raindrop shatter on your hand?

Would you cry for me?

If we were split apart
For you to continue with your life
Would you soon forget me
Or would a storm of sadness through you slice?

Would you cry for me?

In short, Dear One,
I want to make this work
But first I must know
That darkness would not in my future lurk

So even if you're faithful
Even if mine you'd always be
Could you live without this
Or would you cry for me?

    This poem got to me.
    It got me thinking and when i comes down to it, if you love someone, you would cry for them.
    I've cried for her before and probably will again.

    Your poem is so wonderful, I really mean that too..I could feel what you were going through and to be very honest with you it made me tear up in the eyes because it reminded me of this guy that I still love and everything. I gave you a 5/5 Great job and keep up the great work..
