Hard to forget

by *gothic_suicide*   Oct 3, 2006

She cries in the darkness
She is afriad
It is not her fear of the dark that makes her this way
But her memories of the past
She doesn't want to feel the pain anymore
She tries to drink it all away
It doesn't work, now she's lying on the floor crying because of her mistakes
He was her family; her own blood runs through his veins
That's why it's so hards to forget
She's been through it countless times
Each with someone new but she still sees him!
That's why it's so hard to forget
He's not here she keeps telling her self
He can't hurt you again
Yet she can't seem to believe it
She can't seem to forget
She tries using pills to forget
It doesn't work, now she's lying on the floor bleeding because of her mistakes
He was supposed to protect her and keep her safe
That's why it's so hard to forget
She trys using drugs to forget
It doesn't work, now she's on the floor screaming because of her mistakes
Just when she doesn't think she'll ever forget
She tries to cut the pain away
She forgets
Now blood is running down her wrists and she doesn't feel the emotional pain
There's a moment of peace where nothing can harm her
she can finally be free
No more tears to cry, no more secret lies
He isn't there anymore
It all seems nothing more than a distant dream and it all keeps slipping further away
For once in her life she is safe!
