Holocaust memories

by Miakoda   Oct 3, 2006

They came for us in the night
Their fists and guns held high
They took us away from home
And lead us away to die
They brought us pain and misery
And famine and disease
The food we got was not enough
To be called a tease
We grew weak and most did die
But then one day they came
They freed our souls
And our minds
And no one could be tamed
We were freed from Hitlers rain
But our hearts will never forget
The dim and awful pain
