Battle to love each other

We onced loved
We once cared
We once held each other through hard times
We once became one
But its over
We dropped dead in our tracks
And walked away from our battle to love eachother
I dont know what happened
I dont know what made us think
We could make it through
I guess we couldnt believe hard enough
To know that if we really dig deep down
We'd love eachother like no other
But I guess we didn't dig deep enough
Or believe hard enough
To find that one wish
To be together forever
So here we are
Different people, seperate lives
Acted as if we never existed
I guess this one didn't work out well
As we had hoped we planned it to be
I guess we had thought we loved eachother
Enough to go through these times
Then must end it all
With a simple drop from a battle to love each other

    I liked how you wrote it, the first few lines really pulled me in.
