When the war at home is over

by Chelsey   Oct 5, 2006

I know what its like to cry yourself to sleep
I feel like I was just at the spot
But what got me through it all
Was knowing God loves me a lot

Whenever he screams “I hate you”
Try and tell yourself it’s just a bunch of lies
He doesn’t have the capability to see
Exactly how you look through Gods eyes

Whenever he aggravates the heck out of you
And all you can do is bite your nails
Remember on Gods coin you’re the head
And nothing less than the tails

Whenever mom is stressed with work
And you think she’ll never be on your side
Sometimes its best to let her think she’s right
Although Honey Boo I know it’ll be hard to swallow that pride

Even the youth grow tired and weary Sam
But with faith in the Lord he’ll give you wings to soar
Whenever she doesn’t understand your point
Pray for her like you never have before

I know its hard and quite annoying
But this will only last for a bit
Just promise you’ll put your faith in Gods hands
And your dark heart will soon be lit

When I thought my family was ruined
God showed the positive side of me
When the war at home is over
You don’t know how happy you’ll be

I’m here for you through it all
Just don’t sweat, its part of being a teen
I’ll be there to hand you that cold rag
When all you feel like is letting out hot steam

When the war at home is over
You’ll see a rainbow in your sky
Your smile will finally creep back on your face
And all those sad tears will run dry

Pray at night when you weep, put all else aside
Don’t be afraid to turn him, he’s the only one who can provide

Wonderful my sweet :D I think I'm in love with your love for God....ha ha....but honestly, I don't know, maybe I'm selfish or something. Becausse u know what, only when I'm in misery do I actually pray...other times I forget to thank him for all the joy he hath blessed my life with.....I'm trying though...I tell my mum to remind me :)
    Beautiful dedication ;) Take care...
