The Start of Something Evil

by Twisted Heart   Oct 5, 2006

The Raven's grasped in greedy hands
Into it's eye, she stabs the needle
The witch's spell is almost done
It's the start or something evil.

The woman holds the witch's brew
Before her lies the raven dead
A bargain with the witch, she made
So once again, her obsession's fed.

With shaky hands, she tips the glass
And lets the liquid linger
There upon her rose red lips
Held once again, with porcelain fingers.

Such beauty, now reflects in grace
In shallow mist she sees
Gray ragged hair is now replaced
With waves of majesty.

Her wrinkled skin is soft and toned
With ivory colored hues
Against the barren wilderness
There is no substitute.

The witch's screech now heralds her
"What have you for me,"
"My last child, my favorite one,
I've given you my other three."

The witch, now cackles with delight
As she rips the child of breath
And takes the girl, who's lifeless
Into the realms of death.
