Butterflies

In this one you are purely innocent as to what you see in front of you.
The blue of his shirt has never left your memory.
In this moment of peace, you are admiring the one and only man you'll ever love.
Reaching out for his rough, darkly colored hands to guide you.
In times of grief and difficulty, I find you inside my heart laughing away.
You were dressed in indecisive baggy over-alls that your mother couldn't get you out of.
Behind this short and sweet moment brings the light of who you are to become someday.
Whether it's in your devious smirk or your mystical frown, there it stays.
The young, emerging woman you were destined to create stands before you today.

This is portrayed from an old picture of me and my father.
