The Story Of Love And My Life

by Anthony   Oct 7, 2006

A hope and a prayer,
A tear and a smile.
Wishing you're there
To help through this trial.

But how can you be
When the trial is you and me,
And why you don't notice,
When I look you don't see.

A heart breaking glance,
You holding his hand,
I've missed my chance,
This is not what i planned.

But I guess that its fate
That I should give up,
And maybe a date
Was asking too much.

And my feelings for you
Won't die over night.
There's no more to do,
I've lost this loves fight.

I'm tired of losing,
And not having love.
It's not my choosing,
And I've had enough.

And I may just scream,
Or I might fall away,
Or forever dream,
In a sleep I could stay.

But that's not what i want,
I want love that is true.
Sorry to be blunt,
But what I want is you.

And I cannot change,
If I could, I'd refuse.
It's out of my range,
I won't give up my muse!

I'm worn out and broken,
But I still try.
I'm still prying and hoping,
But my love soon will die.

It may not happen over night,
But it happens over time,
And to hinder love's flight
Should be such a crime.

All I have to hold onto,
Is my heart ache and strife.
Thats all I can do,
The story of love and my life.
