Stopped in my tracks

by nickie   Oct 7, 2006

As I sit in the back of the room,
remembering as who you used to be.
Reminisicing on all the good times,
when he world stopped for you and me.

Focusing on my dreams of us,
avoiding all the world around.
As I sit expressionless,
as there is not even the slightest sound.

I'm overcome with the emotions,
not understanding how I feel.
As I wipe the tears from my eyes,
you were no big deal.

Blank stares in the hall,
as we're headed for class.
As I try to walk slow,
but I'm moving too fast.

Heart pumping suicide,
is noting but the best.
As I begin to realize,
you're just like the rest.

So I put my pen down,
and pick up the phone.
And I dial your number,
for I hate being alone.
