Laughter

by Truest Lies   Oct 9, 2006

I see you,
And you have everything,
But I don't envy you,
Because I see your pain.
You can make anyone at all laugh,
But inside you are sad,
You forgot how to be honest,
And that is bad.
You are a beautiful artist,
You taught me how to live.
It is now your wish,
To take off your makeup,
And I will help you,
Though I will remove it with my tears.
You put on the most beautiful act,
I have ever seen.
I understand that you are tired,
Of always being the clown.
I will remove your mask,
And I will look brave for you,
Make sure that you don't see,
How much I liked your lie.
You made me laugh for the first time in years.
Here is to the person,
Who wants to take off the mask,
That hides the true expression underneath.
Promise me that you will be happy now,
Promise me that you will return.
You don't need to lie to me,
I will love you no matter who you decide to become.
