Here to Eternity

by Ben   Oct 9, 2006

Your laughing is a harmonious chorus of applause
And your smile more radiant than heavens glowing eye
Beauty floods the soul, your eyes capture every glance
for summer must turn to autumn, your beauty chooses to defy

When the winds become cutting and bitter, howling
and wailing into the ears of the evanescent beauty
You stand tall, as glorious as the creation of Aphrodite
Refusing to bow down, for the show is not over, it is your duty

Rains no longer shower the land with heavenâ??s innocent bliss,
The tears turn acidic with sorrow, washing carelessly away
Feelings of hope and affection, but nature cannot smoulder
a being with eyes so sanguine, no puddles of dismay

Shades of brown demise litter a furrowed landscape
Buried to far beneath, a past of rolling, smooth moors
Your body stands as remembrance; skin, an eminent testament
To a warm, soft touch, luscious curves which embrace and lure

For when the rivers of summerâ??s temperament, lie dormant
and freeze under winterâ??s pressure, your qualities subsist
with every beat of your prodigious heart; kindness, humour
Wit, honesty and love, all veiled in your divine lips, every kiss

Lest I forget, when next I should see another glorious summers day
That what I witness is only fleeting, the flight of a peaceful dove
For if I desire to observe a beauty which has no end, need I look further
Than your mind, body and soul, and I shall repay with none other than my love.
