To be young again

by Ben   May 1, 2006

To be young again, such a dream
shed your burden and sew up the seam,
To laugh and cry without intention
no understanding of comprehension,
To run and play in the summers breeze
acting the fool without a tease,
To show ones true self in naked light
feeling as high as the natural kite,
To talk and shout unaltered words
hearing stories of little girls and curds,
To sing and dance under ever watching eyes
not being able to understand the tone of lies,
To look with ideals at the warring world
bouncing locks of brown silky curls,
To draw and paint in colourful lines
always thinking the sun ever shines,
To wait and believe for old St Nick
time being a clock which goes Tock, Tick.

To see and hear the world from its waist down,
safely knowing that nothing exists out of town.
To smell and taste lifes ample choices,
gentle eyes of pools of green and blue, foisted.

To be young again, such a dream,
To feel young again, age is not as it seems.

"To laugh and cry without intention

^My favourite lines, they just stood out to me for some reason. The rhyming in this poem was great, didn't sound forced or anything like that.

You also chose powerful words to express yourself, you have a lot of talent you know.
