Pills( part 2)

by The Girl From Yesterday   Oct 9, 2006

Her heart fluttered
and her stomach turned
her life was precious
is what she had learned
her heart slowed down
and her eyes closed tight
once again she thought
"this isn't right"
an hour later
a knock on the door
a teenager gasps
as he looks to the floor
he kneels down
to her side
tears start flowing
but quickly abide
he holds her cold hand
and reaches into his pocket
he pulls out a diamond ring
and a gold locket
"I was going to propose"
he says to thin air
he clasps the necklace on her
as he strokes her hair
he slips the ring
back into the case
and looks away
from her tear-stained face
he looks back down
and kisses her face
as his hand clasps tightly
the little black case
