Lonely star

As I stood in the dark, with no one around,
I looked at the sky, and guess what I found?
It was something that twinkled, what could it be?
One single star shining on me.

No other stars up in the sky,
Just this little one, I wonder why?
I bet this star felt sad, lonely, and blue,
All by itself with nothing to do.

He must of felt helpless or maybe scared,
Maybe he thought that no one cared.
Because he was there with no one in sight,
Just hoping and wishing everything is all right.

Hoping that all the stars will come back soon,
And not be alone, just with the moon.
Is this star everything I tell it to be?
I guess not, maybe is just me.
