Sit With Me Under The Stars

by Angie   Oct 13, 2006

Breathe deeply, the cool summer air;
Inhale the lovely scent that fills your beautiful soul.
Exhale all the worries that have built up inside you,
& Sit with me under the stars.

Lie down on the unusually smooth yet rough surface,
In a field of uncut grass, lie on your back.
Relax your body and clear your mind,
& Sit with me under the stars.

Stare into the clear black sky, unmarred by any clouds.
Take in the magic of the night that\'s lit up by stars.
Watch as the moonlight shines upon us, creating a blanket,
& Sit with me under the stars.

Take my small, soft hand gently in yours and hold it,
Our hands clasped together in contempt in a field of green.
Forever take my hand and never let go,
& Sit with me under the stars.

Hey everyone, so this is my first attempt at writing a non-rhyming poem. It's based on a drawing I once saw, about a boy and a girl. Please read and comment. Thanks. Bye loves!
