Amore

by marilyn marti   Oct 17, 2006

He holds me close in his arms
kisses my cheek
We stand there silently
Not a single blink

I wonder what he's thinking
as he looks into my eyes
If he sees me to be beautiful
Or sees a plain disguise

I start to hold onto his hands
The world around is erased
It's like we're dancing with the stars
The soft complexion of his face

I've never felt as warm
as when he is so near
If I lose Prince Charming
the solitude I'll fear

The heartache I once felt
when I was all alone
Has been replaced with his smile
A brand new comfy home.
