Promises

by **Catching Stars**   Oct 17, 2006

Sitting alone in her room
Listening and thinking
While he's been making
Empty Promises
"It's alright, I want to help,
You know I care,
So will you please share,
What's going on inside?"
Her head says "no"
Her heart says "yes"
She does confess
Her deepest thoughts and fears
"It's ok, don't worry,
Nothing at all will change
I promise I won't act strange."
Empty Promises
What's going on?
Where have you been?
She really needs a friend
And he's not there.
She sits and wonders
What happened with you
Where you were when she was blue
About empty promises.
