Dwindling Light

Dwindling Light

Fading
Growing fainter and fainter
Every day
My hope
Growing small
All the time
I stretch my hand out
And the light
Only becomes fainter
The light
Growing fainter
And fainter
As I stand alone
The darkness
Hopelessness
Start to consume me
In the darkness
A small light
Shines through
My eternal hopelessness
I cling to the light
It fades slightly
Suddenly
My mind is spinning
Yet
I still cling to it
My faint glimmer of hope
Radiating like the sun
Everyday
My hope grows stronger
I fear the dwindling light
Yet â??tis I who decide that the light is dwindling
Does this mean I fear myself?
It would seem so
My mind is
What I choose it to be
The light is only dwindling
If I think it to be
I know myself
The light is always there
It merely doesnâ??t seem so
Because
It is hiding beyond the mirage
Of darkness that
My mind has created for it
The light is always there
It just seems that it isnâ??t
Because the darkness is all around me
