The Masquerade

by David Novoa   Oct 18, 2006

Why do I wear this smiling mask
What do I feel you may ask.
Inside I feel scared,
Nothing of terror can compare.

Behind this smile, lies a frown.
No matter what, I feel down.
Life is chewing me up inside,
I try to run, but I canâ??t hide.

No one says who they really are.
No one reaches happiness, itâ??s really far.
I feel my soul about to fade.
Because the world is one big masquerade.
