If I Could Paint

by Suri dawn   Oct 20, 2006

If I could paint,
I'd paint your face,
Among sacred stars.

So instead of feeling lonely.
I'd look up,
and you wouldn't feel as far.

IfI could dance,
I'd dance for you,
under the summer rain.

So you wouldn't,
have to see me cry,
and you'd see my smile again.

If I could laugh,
I'd laugh with you,
from my deepest soul.

So we could laugh,
together,
and you'd fill my hearts hole.

If I could cry,
I'd cry to you,
about my troubles and fears.

So you could make,
me laugh again.
And I could feel you near.

But I can't paint,
and I can't dance,
though I try to laugh with you.

But really,
all I want to do,
is cry each day through.

In your poems you leave others with a mental picture of what you wrote, that is a good thing, a story teller's dream...
