Search for Life

Life in every single breath, joy in every sound
For these things I've searched my life, but have never found
There's hope in every heartbeat, light in every eye
Each moment is a precious gift, passing in a sigh
There's laughter in the air, love whispers in the wind
But I have never understood, oh lord how I've sinned
I've lost myself in sorrow, hidden in my pain
I've lost sight of sunlight, and lived within the rain
Finding joy in my surroundings, seems I've lost the knack
And though i dare not hope, I pray I find it back
To live in every instant, nothing could i want more
That sense of righteous harmony, peace down to my core
