Another Night to Cry

by Twisted Heart   Oct 24, 2006

She sits upon the cushion of a lonely chair
Among the pretty things she used to treasure
Now in the darkness, she can only stare
For life has lost the glow of simple pleasures.

Another night, it hastens, coming so soon
As teardrops fall from eyes that look around
Her heart and soul are captured by the moon
But for her quiet weeping, there isn't any sound.

Into the depths of heartache, she freely goes
Night's song of sorrow she knows the tune so well
Surrendering to the pain of love that broke her soul
And left her in the bosom of an empty shell.

So she prays for this night up on the stars
Maybe these tears will end the hurt inside
But dreams are telling fiction to her heart
For she knows it's just another night to cry.
