Questions

by milly   Oct 25, 2006

I remember a time when it was ok to question,
To ask why that girl was a different colour,
Why those two men were holding hands,
Why that man was sleeping in a bag stuffed with newspaper.
They call it childhood, they call it innocence.
Well I want it back.
I don't want to have to worry about being politically correct,
I don't want to have to fight the stereotypes ingrained in our society,
I don't want to be afraid to question.
Why can't we all just love?
Love ourselves?
Love our neighbours?
Love our 'enemies?'
Why can't we all be children again?
