Stranger on a Train

by milly   Oct 29, 2006

Hidden under a hat and a somber exterior,
I wonder what you have locked inside,
Happiness? Sadness? Love? Hope?
What do you have to hide?

A scarf tied around your neck,
Many a bracelet encircles your wrist,
Shackles of fashion so casually bind you,
Does society hold you trapped within his fist?

You're closed, locked, shut away from me,
I have no idea what it is that you feel,
You're a stranger, that's all you ever can be,
I'll never know the you that's real.
