I am only a child

by ness   Oct 25, 2006

I am six
and I am only a child
you make me afriad
I feel as though I am to blame
but I am only a child

I am eight
Unsure of what to do
you make me shake
quiver out of fear
I am only a child

I am eleven
Looking for approval
not meaning to appear the fool
but everytime I hear your voice
my body shudders with hate
I am only a child for gods sake

Touch me where it hurts
tell me not to tell
laugh through your games
pretend I am up for your fun
but I am only a child

Unable to say no
unable to be heard through my pain
as you threaten me in your horrible way
you made me this way
wishing I could die everyday
I am only a child
a child everyone loved to hurt

I am fourteen
suffering the worst
marked by what had happened
tainted by your pleasure
leaving my own marks
tear jerking mistakes
Still I am only a child

I am sixteen
Heaving my tired aching bod
punishing me for your crimes
the ones I believed were mine
every last purge and every starve
leaves the bitter taste or your names on my lips
like they have been stained forever on my skin
I am only a child

For I am only a child
lost in madness for your sins
I am only a child
afraid of what you decided to begin
