He Thinks

He thinks he has found the one
She is trying to hold herself together,
Because he makes her come undone
He's holding his breath, and wishing out loud
She catches his eye
As she's getting lost in the crowd
His feelings for her are strong and true
Her mind is racing
As she tries to figure out what to do
He holds his heart in his hands
She knows he wants her to take it
But she hopes he understands
He knows things about her that no one else does
She wears a pair of broken wings
And her shattered heart is still capable of love
He looks at her and sees an angel from God
She lives her normal life
Not expecting any applause
He thinks he is right by her side each day
She is trying to figure out
Why she wants him to stay
He is stumbling on words, and tripping over feelings
She is holding tightly to her heart
Which he is slowly stealing
He lies awake at night because he is thinking of her
She's not allowing herself to dive in
Because she still is unsure
He cannot be by her side, when he is 100 miles away
She longs to hear his laugh
And hear what he really has to say
He talks to her, and he fills up
She wants to see his sparkle
And if it is just the light, or love
