Darkest Hour

You feel as if you're surrounded with hate
You're losing weight
You don't care what's about to happen
So you just keep on nappin'

Sometimes you wish you were dead
Others you wonder what's gotten to your head
You're fed up with all the s***
So you feel like you're stuck in a pit

You're friends all think you're crazy
They wonder if you've become a little hazy
They think you shouldn't worry about it
So instead you get worse and have a fit

You can't get out of bed
You forget to take your meds
You don't want to do anything
Then you hear a ring...

You have a phone call
You ignore it and instead go down the hall
Then you fall...
But you can't stand up... so you crawl

Your energy has disappeared
You anticipate the end is near
You start to write the note
But then you recall a quote...

You remember what it meant
It left a dent in your heart
It was so powerful
It had a great pull

You pick up the phone
And here your friends moan
When you told them what you were about to do
And then friend said that they knew...

Your friend opens the door
And you feel your heart soar
To know they were outside
When you needed to confide

Not all endings are happy
But hey, at least they aren't all crappy
So know someone cares about you
Just think of who....
