St. John's

by sibyllene   Oct 29, 2006

Doors,
red, like a
sacrament,
like blood and wine,
like birth and death,
lead pilgrims to the
shadowed mystery
and flickering
illumination
within.

I have been skimming through your poetry tonight. I stopped on this because it shares its name with the current city I reside in.

I hate formed poetry as a rule. But! Yes, there's a but!

This is an older piece. You hit the mood spot on with your word choice. I always liked your poetry and you have so much growth left in you. I can't wait to see what kind of art you create in the future considering the amount of positive change I've seen in your writing thus far.

I have to be honest I don`t usually like short poems but yours are quite different they say so much in so few words,it doesn`t leave you feeling like there should be more. great write.
