Searching

by Donnie Houck   Oct 30, 2006

She walks the boardwalk
in the night;
like a ghost that's lost in time.

Searching under every grain
of sand;
hoping riches she will find.

Turning every pebble near,
she turns blind eyed
and cannot hear!

Then deep in her heart
dark and silent sighs,
love whisper's clear
too her tearing eyes.
