From Afar

When we knew eachother, talking was an easy task.

But who knew we'd be so far away?
Time goes by so fast.

Sometimes I write to you, but your replies are slow.

I wanted to say goodbye, you were gone, I had to go.

Who knows when I'll see you again? Or even hear your voice.

But for now our writing is all I have,
I really have no choice.

But when the sun sets and the
leaves began to change,

I think of times when you and I were closer and all of this is strange.

Promise me forever and beyond that you and I will be friends.

Because distance stops somewhere but love never ends.
