Best Friends

by Jessica   Nov 1, 2006

We wait all year long
Count every single day
Until summer finally arrives
Then wait until you arrive
To your summer home
For about three weeks
We have the most fun
Nobody can take those weeks away
Just like nobody can take
What you mean to me away
You're me cousin, my best friend
You are always there for me
Just like I am always there for you
You're like the twin sister I never had
I mean that in every way
When we're together
Its like no one else is around
To tell us what to do
When the three weeks end
And you have to leave
It feels like a part of me does too
Because the weeks you were here
Were priceless, too valuable to trade
When you are here a part of me comes out
That I show no one else
So in this I want to thank you
For being a special part of my life
Because if it wasn’t for you
I wouldn't be able to tell people
That my best friend in the whole world
Lives all the way in Florida
And I only get to see her twice a year...
But that’s why I think we're best friends
Because no matter what the distance
We are so close forever and always
No matter what life takes us through...!!
