Fool Me Once...

by Raychel   Nov 5, 2006

Fool me once,
Shame on you,
Fool me twice,
I haven't a clue.

Love me once,
Love her forever.
Tell you once I love you,
By returning words you think you're clever.

I'll keep on walking,
Now you're only in the numbers,
I count the cracks in my heart the same as on my wrist,
Soon there'll be enough for my eternal sleep.

Fool me once,
Shame on you,
Fool me twice,
I still love you...

I like it, it's really good. The passion in it is stunning. I think that maybe there could be more of a rythm in it, it's great though.

    :)keep up the good work

...I'm awe-struck...these newest four poems have been absolutely amazing. Especially this one. These last four are my four favorites by you, without a doubt. The once-twice theme really worked well in this poem.
