Brainwashed

by jinxerella   Nov 5, 2006

Media manipulates us.
Tempers with our feelings,
Our faults,
Our words.
It stereotypes people,
In ways that they can't look the other way.
We copy the images we see.
When all along,
The image was us.
We don't realize it,
But the media watches us.
We are the hamsters of their experiments.
We are really looking at reflections of ourself.
We try to keep up with ourselves.
Some of us fail,
Others try to hard.
In the end,
We are all brainwashed in some way.

I like the way you think. I share the same view. I have something similar in the dark poetry section called "Propaganda".
It echoes exactly what you're saying.
